Job summary

RAPSYS TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a versatile software engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications. You will build data pipelines, collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver citizen-centered solutions.

You will own quality end-to-end with automated testing and CI/CD, participate in code reviews, and help drive architectural decisions. Experience with React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS and data processing is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and software design.
• Hands-on full stack development with modern web technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications: Write clean, scalable, and efficient code to create software solutions that meet user needs.
• Build scalable contact data pipelines: Develop robust data ingestion, deduplication, and segmentation logic for contact management at scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality citizen-centric products.
• Participate in code reviews: Ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members to improve overall team performance.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues: Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Implement automated testing and continuous integration: Ensure the reliability and stability of the software through automated tests and CI/CD pipelines. No dedicated QE on the team, so you own quality end-to-end.
• Documentation: Create and document technical designs that are aligned with architectural guidelines.
• Integrate with downstream platforms: Connect ContactSG with communication channels (email, SMS, etc.) used by agencies.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends: Continuously learn and apply new technologies and best practices to improve our products.
• Act as a technical lead when required: Drive technical direction, make architectural decisions, and ensure alignment with best practices and business goals.

Experiences we look out for:

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in software development, preferably in full stack web development.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Possess a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, programming skills, and software design principles and patterns.
• Proficient in full stack development with hands-on experience using technologies such as React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud services, with added advantage for experience in AWS services.
• Demonstrated strong ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with data lakes and large-scale data processing is a plus.
• Familiarity with record matching and deduplication techniques is a plus.
• Background in CRM, contact management, or customer data platforms is a plus.
• Experience with Kotlin is a plus (to support legacy codebases).
