Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific in Singapore is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications. You will build data pipelines for contact management, collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams, and drive quality through code reviews and automated testing.

You will own end-to-end quality, contribute to architectural directions, and stay current with industry trends to deliver citizen-centric products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development, preferably full stack.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
• Proficient in React, Node.js, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud services; AWS experience a plus.
• Experience with data lakes and large-scale data processing is a plus.
• Familiarity with record matching and deduplication techniques is a plus.
• Background in CRM, contact management, or customer data platforms is a plus.
• Experience with Kotlin to support legacy codebases is a plus.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications: Write clean, scalable, and efficient code to create software solutions that meet user needs.
• Build scalable contact data pipelines: Develop robust data ingestion, deduplication, and segmentation logic for contact management at scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality citizen-centric products.
• Participate in code reviews: Ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members to improve overall team performance.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues: Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Implement automated testing and continuous integration: Ensure the reliability and stability of the software through automated tests and CI/CD pipelines. No dedicated QE on the team, so you own quality end-to-end.
• Documentation: Create and document technical designs that are aligned with architectural guidelines.
• Integrate with downstream platforms: Connect ContactSG with communication channels (email, SMS, etc.) used by agencies.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends: Continuously learn and apply new technologies and best practices to improve our products.
• Act as a technical lead when required: Drive technical direction, make architectural decisions, and ensure alignment with best practices and business goals.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in software development, preferably in full stack web development.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related fi eld is preferred.
• Possess a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, programming skills, and software design principles and patterns.
• Proficient in full stack development with hands-on experience using technologies such as React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud services, with added advantage for experience in AWS services.
• Demonstrated strong ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with data lakes and large-scale data processing is a plus.
• Familiarity with record matching and deduplication techniques is a plus.
• Background in CRM, contact management, or customer data platforms is a plus.
• Experience with Kotlin is a plus (to support legacy codebases).
