Job summary

ByteDance seeks software engineers to join the Global Payment team in Singapore, building secure, scalable backend services supporting payments, forex, and reconciliation across TikTok platforms.

Join the Payment Network team to develop high-quality designs, write clean code, automate tasks, review and debug, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to improve payments products and ensure reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Software development experience in Java/Go/C++/C#/Python.
• Excellent proficiency in backend server development and relational databases.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

About Global Payment

The Global Payment team of ByteDance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok.

The Payment Network team in Global Payment ensures a secure, professional and efficient overseas payment solution, helping businesses to unblock payment channels and effectively assisting overseas business and product expansion. This includes tasks such as building general service capabilities, payment instruction orchestration engine, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture;
• Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle;
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code;
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting;
• Review and debug code; Perform validation and verification testing;

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience;
• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages, such as Java/Go/C++/C#/Python;
• Excellent proficiency in backend server development and expertise in relational database;
• Strong analytical thinking and exceptional attention to details.

Preferred Qualification:

• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience from a large-scale internet business.
