Job Brief:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Junior Software Engineer to join our OSS team, focusing on Service Order Orchestration configuration & development to support our Software-Defined Network (SDN). This role is ideal for fresh graduates or entry-level professionals passionate about software development, telecommunications, and system integration.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, configuring, and maintaining workflows within the Service Order Orchestration system focusing on modules like Order Manager, Order Hub, Catalogue, and other Business Support Tools.
- Collaborate with senior team members to gather requirements and implement solutions aligned with customer/product needs.
- Participate in the design and development of service templates and workflows for onboarding and service stitching.
- Support the integration of Service Order Orchestration system with other telecom systems such as OSS, BSS, inventory systems, and cloud platforms.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of APIs to enable integration between Service Order orchestration System and external systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to service order workflows and integrations.
- Document designs, workflows, and technical aspects to facilitate support and maintenance.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior from time to time.
Role Requirements:
- Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Basic understanding of XML, SOAP, REST, and web services.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP) and operating systems such as UNIX/Linux.
- Exposure to databases like MySQL or Oracle.
- Interest in telecom service orchestration workflows and automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Nokia FlowOne or similar service orchestration platforms and understanding of telecom inventory and network models as preferred.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (OpenStack, Kubernetes) and virtualization concepts (NFV, SDN) will add as an advantage.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins will add as an advantage.
