Job summary

Activate in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer for a one-year fixed-term contract to support the Singapore Titles Automated Registration System (STARS) and the eLodgement System (ELS). You will work on both legacy and modernised components to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.

This role blends hands-on software development with modernization, resilience, and AI-assisted tooling, requiring collaboration with product owners, operations teams, and cybersecurity stakeholders to

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
3–5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
Strong programming and debugging skills with enterprise technologies such as Java, JSP, JavaScript, SQL/PL-SQL.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software for STARS and ELS across legacy and modernised components.
Handle complex workflows for land title registration, lodgement, payment, and reporting.
Analyse changes and implement in tightly coupled environments with many interfaces.
Support modernization initiatives including API enablement and architecture improvements.
Contribute to digital transformation, automation, and AI-assisted engineering outputs.
