Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain robust Java/Kotlin applications in Singapore. The role focuses on scalable solutions and production support within an Agile environment.

The successful candidate will work with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot and related technologies, participate in design reviews, and ensure code quality, security and performance across the stack.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with Core Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and object-oriented design.
• Experience with JUnit, TDD, REST/SOAP, JMS/IBM MQ and SQL.
• Good understanding of relational databases and SQL query optimisation.
• Basic experience with Linux, AWS, CI/CD and containerisation.
• Experience with Git, IntelliJ and SonarQube/SonarLint.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain applications using Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, EJB, MySQL, Oracle and IBM MQ.
• Analyse business and system requirements and translate them into scalable, fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex legacy defects and production issues.

• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders and communicate complex technical issues effectively.
• Support Agile delivery using Scrum/XP methodologies.
