Job summary

Activate Interactive Singapore is hiring for a fixed-term 1-year contract to support government digital services. You will design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and systems, ensuring quality and performance across architectures.

We require at least 3 years of web development experience with JavaScript, React.js for frontend, and Golang for backend. Proficiency in testing, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud services like AWS is highly valued. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

• Frontend development experience with React.js.
• Backend development with Golang (Go) is a must.
• Experience with modern web applications in JavaScript is advantageous.
• Experience with automated testing using JavaScript testing frameworks such as Karma, Mocha, Chai and Sinon is advantageous.
• Experience with database management (relational and non-relational) is advantageous.
• Experience using Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services such as AWS/PaaS is a bonus.
• Experience in Agile development and Scrum is a plus.

This is a fixed term contract role. The engagement is 1 year.

What will you do?

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and systems that support government digital services and citizen-facing platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in existing applications and infrastructure.
• Participate in code review processes to maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance.
• Partner with UX designers to develop comprehensive product designs that meet user needs and government service requirements.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 3 years experience (or equivalent level of skill) with modern web applications using JavaScript.
• Experience in frontend development with React.js
• Experience in backend development using Golang (Go) is a must
• Experience with modern web applications in JavaScript is highly advantageous
• Experience in automated testing using JavaScript testing frameworks/libraries such as Karma, Mocha, Chai and Sinon is highly advantageous.
• Experience with database management/usage (both relational and non-relational), and handling of data in different environments is highly advantageous.
• Experience in using Docker containers, development of CI/CD pipelines, and deployment using cloud services such as AWS/PasSes/your own private servers is a nice bonus.
• Experience in the software development lifecycle in an Agile context is a plus point.
• Experience in Scrum is a plus point.
