Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd is recruiting for a fixed-term role in Singapore to design, develop, test, and deploy software for government digital services. You will collaborate across frontend (React.js) and backend (Go) with CI/CD, Docker, and cloud deployment, while ensuring quality and security in a fast-paced Agile environment.

The position requires 3+ years of relevant experience, strong coding practices, and the ability to work closely with UX designers to deliver robust citizen-facing

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience with modern web applications using JavaScript.
• Frontend development with React.js.
• Backend development using Go (Golang) is a must.
• Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks/libraries (Karma, Mocha, Chai, Sinon) is advantageous.
• Experience with database management (relational and non-relational).
• Experience with Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment on cloud services (AWS/PaaS).
• Agile development lifecycle and Scrum experience are plus points.

This is a fixed term contract role. The engagement is 1 year.

What will you do?

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and systems that support government digital services and citizen-facing platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in existing applications and infrastructure.
• Participate in code review processes to maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance.
• Partner with UX designers to develop comprehensive product designs that meet user needs and government service requirements.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 3 years experience (or equivalent level of skill) with modern web applications using JavaScript.
• Experience in frontend development with React.js
• Experience in backend development using Golang (Go) is a must
• Experience with modern web applications in JavaScript is highly advantageous
• Experience in automated testing using JavaScript testing frameworks/libraries such as Karma, Mocha, Chai and Sinon is highly advantageous.
• Experience with database management/usage (both relational and non-relational), and handling of data in different environments is highly advantageous.
• Experience in using Docker containers, development of CI/CD pipelines, and deployment using cloud services such as AWS/PasSes/your own private servers is a nice bonus.
• Experience in the software development lifecycle in an Agile context is a plus point.
• Experience in Scrum is a plus point.
