Job summary

NCS in Singapore is seeking a skilled Go (Golang) Developer to join the engineering team and work directly at client sites. The role centers on building, testing, and maintaining high-performance backend services and APIs with Go, in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of backend Go experience, strong concurrency, RESTful API design, and familiarity with microservices, containers, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of backend Go experience.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, goroutines, and channels.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Good grasp of design patterns, testing frameworks, and Git.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work independently and with clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Go code and backend services.
• Develop RESTful APIs and services for frontend and third-party integrations.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and frontend engineers to deliver robust solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and promote Go development best practices.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.

The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining high-performance backend services and APIs using Go. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and efficient applications and be comfortable working in a fast-paced client-facing environment.

What will you do?

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Go (Golang) code.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services for integration with frontend and third-party systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and frontend engineers to deliver robust solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in Go development.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance.
• Debug and troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Contribute to technical documentation and maintain version control using Git.
• Work closely with customer’s technical teams to align deliverables and ensure smooth integration with existing systems.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should posses

• 1–5 yearsof hands-on experience in backend development usingGo (Golang).
• Good understanding ofconcurrency, goroutines, and Go channels.
• Experience withRESTful API designandmicroservices architecture.
• Familiarity withSQL/NoSQL databases(e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience withcontainerization(Docker, Kubernetes) andCI/CD pipelinesis a plus.
• Knowledge ofcloud platforms(AWS, GCP, or Azure) is preferred.
• Good understanding ofsoftware design patterns,testing frameworks, andversion control (Git).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a customer environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Prior experience working on-site with enterprise clients or within large-scale distributed systems.
• Prior experience working as a Go-lang developer.
• Exposure to agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery cycles.
