Job summary

GovTech seeks a software engineer to design and develop web and mobile applications for Singapore government agencies. You will join an agile team delivering full-stack solutions, with emphasis on user-centric development and robust testing.

You will gain exposure to DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and software QA, while collaborating with peers to adopt best practices and contribute to a flexible, outcome-oriented work culture.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern web/mobile apps using TypeScript.
• Backend development using TypeScript and APIs.
• Frontend development with React.js and React Native.
• Database technologies (relational and non-relational).
• Docker/container technologies.
• AWS infrastructure and managed services.
• CI/CD pipelines development and maintenance.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in an agile development team to deliver high-quality software applications, potentially full stack for web and mobile frontends and backends.
• Adopt software engineering practices such as pair programming, code reviews, and test-driven development.
• As a more experienced engineer, lead solutioning discussions, establish best practices, and mentor other engineers.

[What you will be working on]

The Digital Society Product Team in GovTech seeks to design and develop software applications that help government agencies better serve the needs of the people of Singapore.

We employ an agile approach towards development and work towards adopting the best practices and tools used in the top technology companies and organizations. You will be joining an agile software team, working on engaging, user-centric web and/or mobile applications through practices like pair programming and code reviews. You will also have opportunities to explore areas beyond software development, such as DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and software QA.

• Work in an agile development team to deliver high-quality software applications — potentially the full stack, including both mobile and web frontends and their backends.
• Adopt proven software engineering practices such as pair programming, code reviews, and test-driven development.
• As a more experienced engineer, lead conversations on solutioning and systems design, establish best practices, and mentor other engineers in the team

[What we are looking for]
