Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and proactive Software Engineer to work on projects for Capital Markets IT team within a reputed bank. This opportunity offers exposure to capital markets, financial trading systems, and cutting-edge technologies such as automation, DevOps, and cloud computing.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Must have 1-7 years of experience in related activities;
• Must have strong programming skills with Java, Python, and Shell scripting;
• Must have proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments and database management systems such as Oracle, SQL, Sybase, BigData;
• Must have hands-on experience with Calypso v14.4 and Calypso back-office customizations;
• Must have familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, Sonar, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes;
• Experience with regulatory reporting systems;
• Knowledge of financial products and trade lifecycle such as FX, Treasury, IRD, Bonds, Credit, etc;
• Strong understanding of Confirmations, Settlements, Positions, and Accounting modules.

Desired Skill-set

• Experience with automation frameworks and tools like Control-M, Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, ElasticSearch, Kafka;
• Hands-on experience in implementation projects;
• Understanding of capital markets trading systems and market risk operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and scripts, ensuring robust and scalable solutions;
• Customize and support the Calypso back-office system, integrating new features and maintaining system health;
• Collaborate with analysts, QA, infrastructure, and support teams to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance;
• Participate in monthly release cycles, performing code review, testing, and documentation;
• Automate tasks and workflows using scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual interventions;
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements;
• Conduct incident management, root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes;
• Engage in continuous learning and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team;
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to align application requirements with system constraints.
