Job summary

NEPTUNEZ SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior backend engineer to develop and maintain scalable Java applications. You will design microservices and REST APIs, and implement event-driven solutions with Kafka in an enterprise setting.

You will work with AWS cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, RDS/Aurora), PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and secure the stack using Spring Security. Collaboration with business teams is essential to deliver reliable software.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of software development experience in enterprise apps.

• Security practices: Spring Security, IAM, KMS.
• CI/CD with GitLab/Jenkins and build tools Maven/Gradle.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and develop microservices and REST APIs for enterprise applications.
• Build and integrate event-driven services using Kafka and messaging platforms.
• Develop cloud-based applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, S3, and RDS/Aurora.
• Design and optimize database solutions using PostgreSQL, SQL, Hibernate/JPA, and DynamoDB.
• Implement application security using Spring Security, IAM, KMS, and authentication mechanisms.
• Develop containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Implement automated build, testing, and deployment using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito and troubleshoot application issues.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure software solutions.

Requirements:

• 14+ years of strong experience in software development and enterprise application development.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, Hibernate, Gradle etc.
• Strong experience developing microservices and REST APIs.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, particularly Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and RDS/Aurora.
• Hand on experience in CloudWatch, Athena, SNS, RDS, Route53 etc.
• Strong experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Strong experience in Terraform, SonarQube.
• Strong experience with SQL/PostgreSQL and Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Strong experience with Spring Security, IAM, and cloud security practices.
• Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle.
• Strong experience with JUnit and Mockito for automated testing.
• Strong experience in banking, financial services, insurance, or other enterprise applications.
