Job summary

DSO National Laboratories in Singapore seeks a Software Engineer (Information) to architect and optimise computing clusters, develop full-stack software with a research-focused team, and deploy secure, scalable solutions for mission objectives.

You will build and productionise cutting-edge algorithms, collaborate with data engineers, and drive end-to-end development from requirements to deployment and validation.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor’s in CS/CE/IT or related field.
• 3+ years architecting and managing large-scale computing clusters.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes or OpenShift and distributed systems.
• Experience with Hadoop or Spark and ETL pipelines.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and OO design.
• Willingness to work across teams and research projects.

Responsibilities

• Architect, optimise, deploy, and maintain computing clusters for high performance.
• Develop full-stack software with research scientists and data engineers.
• Design secure, scalable software architectures and production pipelines.
• Implement DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines and testing environments.
• Collaborate across programmes and organisations for integration tests.
