Job summary

LAM SOON SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and business systems in a dynamic environment. You will work on web applications, APIs, and system integrations to meet business requirements, while maintaining code quality and documentation.

The role involves coordinating with vendors, supporting ERP/DMS systems, and driving continuous improvement through automation and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Development & Application Management

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and business systems.
• Write clean, efficient, secure and maintainable code following established coding standards.
• Develop web applications, and system integrations to support business requirements.
• Participate in software architecture discussions and technical solution design.
• Maintain source code, technical documentation, and system configurations.

2. System Integration & Automation

• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Support digital transformation initiatives across sales, inventory, warehousing, distribution, finance, and reporting.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and consistency across integrated systems.
• Support database maintenance, data migration, validation, and reporting solutions.

3. Testing & Quality Assurance

• Perform unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues across different environments.
• Ensure software reliability, scalability, and security compliance.

4. Project & Vendor Management

• Participate in project planning, application implementation, upgrades, and enhancement projects.
• Provide technical documentation, user guides, and system specifications.
• Collaborate with vendors and external developers when required.

5. Support & Continuous Improvement

• Provide application support and issue resolution for deployed systems.
• Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements.
• Stay updated with emerging IT digitalization and transformation initiatives.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in software development, application support, or system integration.
• Fresh graduates maybe considered.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data management.
• Experience with web application development, APIs, system integration, and workflow automation.
• Experience supporting ERP, WMS, inventory, sales, distribution, e-commerce, or document management systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, or other cloud technologies is an added advantage.
