Job summary

OCBC in Singapore seeks a Software Engineer to design and deliver digital banking solutions. You will elicit requirements, translate them into technical designs, and collaborate with business analysts and project managers to align with standards.

You will contribute to architecture reviews, ensure quality, and support cross-functional IT teams. The role requires deep experience with Temenos TAP Core, WTX, ITX (latest), TAP-WTX integration, Unix scripting, XSLT, and Oracle.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a well-known university with IT related subjects.
• Overall 10-15 year of development experience with in-depth expertise in the software design, development, technical analysis, and implementation in a banking/financial domain.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.

Responsibilities

• Elicit requirements, prioritize, and analyze requests, design technical solutions, workflows and user interfaces, write and review technical specifications and data mapping templates.
• Work with business analyst and Project manager as well as other internal IT stakeholder to arrive at optimal solutions for the Business with compliances to Bank's standards, quality, policies, and guidelines
• Able to translate functional designs and jargon into technical designs.
• Ensure gaps in deliverables are identified early and addressed effectively
• Provide SME support to extended IT teams such as core banking, credit, digital and client output.
• Provide support to architecture committee and project teams to ensure that target operating models are progressing in line with the preferred strategic architecture / chosen architectures.

Who you are

• Graduated from a well-known university with IT related subjects.

• Good Working Experience in Temenos Triple A Plus (TAP) Core
• Good Working Experience in WTX, ITX latest versions
• Good working experience in TAP-WTX Integration
• Good knowledge in Unix scripts, XSLT programming and Database knowledge (oracle)
• General knowledge about private banking; good understanding of financial products.
• Experience with TTi (T24 TAP interface) development is a plus
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly and gain consensus from multiple stakeholders when required
• Strong team player with the ability to take ownership and deliver independently
• Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and/or multiple projects
• Strong interpersonal skills required to liaise with other subject matter experts to problem solving issues or generating ideas
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions
