Job description

Software Engineer Job Scope

For users with testing requirements such as SMPS, SERVER POWER, EVSE, PV, BATTERY, BOBC, Passive Components, and Safety Regulations, the Quantel Software Engineer is responsible for the implementation of Automated Test Systems (ATS), handling software tasks throughout the project lifecycle.

Pre-Project Responsibilities

1. Participate in the pre-sales process for Automated Test Systems (ATS).

2. Evaluate the cost Bill of Materials (BOM) and project schedule for software integration.

3. Discuss and define test purposes, requirements, and acceptance conditions with clients.

In-Project Responsibilities

1. Hardware

a. Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

2. Software

a. Program on Chroma’s exclusive testing platforms (SMPS ATS8000 / BatteryPro).

b. Develop programs based on user test requirements, regulations, and instrument configurations.

c. Conduct regulation studies to ensure compliance.

Post-Shipment Responsibilities

1. Provide online remote support and onsite technical assistance, including system installation, site acceptance testing, and training.

2. Follow up on technical issues, providing professional advice or troubleshooting support.

Requirements:

1. Strong foundational knowledge of programming language and electronic circuit principles.

2. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.

3. Proactive, self-motivated, and dynamic.

4. Willingness to travel internationally for technical support.

5. Ability to communication with the Taiwan headquarters.

6. Diploma in Electronics Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

9. Class 2/3 driver licence.

10. Good work ethics and must be willing to learn and follow instructions
