Job summary

BANK JULIUS BAER & CO. LTD. is seeking Senior Software Engineers for the Position & Portfolio Management ART and Order Management & Content Distribution.

You will design, develop and test software modules, ensuring optimal integration within complex systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires deep knowledge of backlogs, production issue resolution, and a strong focus on performance, security and scalability in a DevOps environment.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience with Triple ‘A plus Technologies and platforms.
• Domain knowledge in wealth management products and offerings.
• Deep understanding of the areas like Order management, positions and performance calculations.
• Good functional understanding of business data flow between TAP and T24.
• Strong hands-on experience on Shell scripting, PL/SQL and TAP Scripting.
• Strong understanding and experience with Agile development and Dev-ops.
• At least 5 years of experience in leading and managing team of at least 3-5 developers.

Responsibilities

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

These roles are Senior Software Engineers for the Position & Portfolio Management ART as well as Order Management & Content Distribution. Responsible for designing, developing and testing software modules, ensuring optimal functionality and integration within complex systems. The role demands a combination of in-depth technical expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver high-quality software solutions.

KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

General

• Own and prioritise RTB and CTB backlogs ensuring clarity, transparency and alignment with business goals.
• Investigate and resolve production issues to help maintain a stable production environment.
• Balance Functional and Non-Functional requirements (Performance, Scalability, Security etc).

Client/ Stakeholder Management (internal & external)

• Stakeholder management – working closely with ITSO, Business Engineers, Production Support team and project managers to drive and manage IT delivery.
• Analyse requirements, estimate efforts, plan timeline, manage progress.
• Ensure awareness, involvement and support from the key stakeholders and participants by building strong project teams and maintaining robust communication on the project status throughout its lifecycle.
• Drive and review technical and architectural design, enforce architectural guidelines and challenge status quo.

Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management

• Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Take responsibility for ensuring that risks and issues are identified and managed closely and drive all stakeholders to deliver on time and to the required quality standards.

• Work together in a cross functional team using agile methodologies as part of a DevOps centric model.
• Understand business needs by working together with your colleagues from across different divisions of Julius Baer and translate functional requirements to efficient and fit-for-purpose technical solutions
• Take part of planning and feature refinement sessions together with your team.
• Stake holder management – working closely with Ops, Production support team, BAs and PMs to drive and manage IT delivery.
• Together with Solution Architects design software solutions that are aligned to Julius Baer's overall architecture vision.
• Deliver high quality code, aligned with Julius Baer guidelines and standards.
