Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based technology consultancy, seeks a versatile full-stack developer to own end-to-end application development for government-related projects in Singapore. The role emphasizes integrating frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure with secure, compliant delivery.

You will optimize CI/CD pipelines, build high-performance services, and collaborate with data engineers to deploy production-grade data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of end-to-end application development, integrating frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop backend services and APIs with a focus on reliability, security and observability.
• Collaborate with data engineers to implement data pipeline solutions into production environments
• Explore opportunities to leverage AI/ML for data pipelines
• Support testing and debugging across environments
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• Ensure compliant logging and audit trails (PDPA) and access controls (RBAC)

What will you do?

• Take full ownership of end-to-end application development, integrating frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.
• Optimize full-stack CI/CD deployment strategies, ensuring seamless and automated releases.
• Collaborate with data engineers to implement data pipeline solutions into production environments
• Develop high-performance backend services and APIs, ensuring reliability, security, and observability.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML technologies to optimise data pipeline solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• Support the testing and debugging of applications across different environments
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, with a strong understanding of modern web development practices and component-based architecture
• Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Next.js)
• Mobile-responsive web development and/or Progressive Web App (PWA)
• RESTful API design and development
• Relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) implementation
• Audit logging and data compliance (PDPA)
• Singpass/MyInfo/Corppass integration
• Email/SMS notification services (e.g. AWS SES, SNS, Twilio)
• Scheduling, Attendance & Reporting
• Scheduling and availability management (e.g. calendar features)
• Attendance tracking mechanisms (e.g. QR code-based check-in/check-out)
• Dashboard and report generation (exportable formats e.g. PDF, Excel)
• Hands-on experience with cloud services (e.g. AWS EC2/ Lambda/RDS or similar), including deployment and infrastructure management
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, CDK), and monitoring/observability practices
• Prior experience building citizen-facing government systems
