Job summary

HeyGen seeks a software engineer on the product eng team to help build key features for the HeyGen platform, spanning frontend, backend API, and ML model integration. You will work with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of software development experience, a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, and hands-on work with React, JavaScript, Python, RESTful APIs, and cloud services plus MySQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 1-3 years of software development experience (including internships).
• Experience with React, JavaScript, and Python.
• Familiarity with RESTful API development.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with MySQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features for the HeyGen platform across frontend and backend components.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other engineering teams to deliver a holistic product experience.

The Opportunity

As a software engineer on the product eng team you will be part of a team working on the most crucial product features to Heygen. You will collaborate with team members focused towards feature development, all the way from the frontend to backend API to ML models. You are someone who is passionate about creating impactful AI products and wants to grow your career as a software engineer. Tech Stack: Typescript, react, python, Go.

Key Responsibilities

• Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and optimized features for the HeyGen platform across both front-end and back-end components.

• Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other engineering teams to deliver a holistic product experience to our users.

• Maintenance & Optimization: Monitor platform performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions in a timely manner. Ensure the platform remains updated, secure, and compliant with the latest industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 1-3 years experience in Software Development (including internship experience).

• Experienced with React, Javascript, Python, etc.

• Familiarity with RESTful API development.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL.
