Job description

About Panasonic’s Robotics Initiatives

At Panasonic, we are committed to transforming healthcare automation by deploying cutting-edge robotic solutions that streamline routine tasks, ultimately improving the well-being of healthcare professionals. Learn more about our innovations here: Panasonic Robotics

Our innovations include:

  • HOSPI – an autonomous pharmaceutical transport robot.
  • PiiMo – a self-driving robotic wheelchair that assists patient mobility.

These robots are operated through Panasonic’s Fleet Management System (FMS), which is built upon on the Robot Middleware Framework (RMF) – an advanced automation platform developed under the leadership of the Singapore Government.
More on RMF: open-rmf.org

With Panasonic’s recent adoption of RMF, our FMS now enables seamless control and integration of various Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) across multiple applications.

Expanding Our Reach

As the only Japanese company recognized by Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) as an RMF-certified Systems Integrator (SIer), Panasonic is now gearing up to expand this technology beyond Singapore to Japan, Thailand, India, and other regions across Asia.

Beyond healthcare, Panasonic is driving automation across factories and logistics, leveraging RMF-based FMS to enhance operational efficiency throughout the entire Panasonic Group.

· Support projects in Japan, leveraging RMF-based solutions to optimize automation efforts.

· Participate in feature development and performance upgrades of Panasonic's FMS, ensuring continuous improvements in automation.

Travelling is required:

· Given the nature of our projects, frequent business trips to Japan will be required.

· Additionally, travel to India and Thailand may be necessary depending on project demands.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of robotics and automation while contributing to Panasonic’s vision for a smarter, more efficient future.

Job Requirements:

· Minimum Bachelor Degree or above in Engineering, Robotics, Software Development, or related field.

· Proficiency in ROS2 coding is a minimum requirement for this role.

If ROS2 experience is lacking, candidates must have hands-on expertise in ROS1, C++, or Python for software development.
