Job Duties and Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop professional-quality desktop applications in an agile environment.
• Analyze to define system scope and objectives to develop or modify existing engineering applications.
• Ensure the optimization of the Technical Software Development process and project tracking.
• Define requirements, functional specifications, and testing documentation for engineering software applications.
• Design and develop unit tests for code validation and automated regression testing.
• Incorporate lab and field testing with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to value creation in the role.

Required Education and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 3 years of related software development experience.
• Self-initiative, independence, and good teamwork skills.
• Strong experience with C++, especially C++11 principles.
• Proficiency with software design patterns such as OOP and SOLID.
• At least 3 years of experience in developing desktop applications and reports using C#, Python, HTML, JavaScript, XML, JSON.
• Experience with GUI development using WPF/XAML and MFC.
• Experience developing multi-threaded and real-time applications.
• Experience with SQL, MS Access, and MongoDB.
• Proficient in debugging software applications at various maturity levels.
• Experience supporting software locally and remotely.
• Experience interfacing software with electrical devices.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical engineers, and scientists.
• Embedded software development and Real-Time Operating Systems experience is a plus.
