Software Developer Senior Specialist Java Backend

Nasdaq Technology is looking for a passionate Software Engineer with a focus on software development, to join the Bangalore technology center in India. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of complex technical systems of varying sizes to new and existing customers and will be part of discovering new technologies within the FinTech industry.We are now looking for a Software Engineer to strengthen the Nasdaq Market Surveillance SaaS team in Bangalore. You will be responsible for driving the execution of central initiatives across the Nasdaq Market Technology portfolio of Software Products and Software Services for Market Infrastructure Operations and New Markets.We are looking for candidates who share those values along with a genuine desire and drive to deliver top technology solutions to today's markets.With this position we offer :Join the development organization for Nasdaq Market Surveillance. The main objective for the Nasdaq Market Surveillance SaaS team in Bangalore is to build state of the art market surveillance service. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members across Sydney, Toronto and Bangalore. Together with your team, you will be responsible for delivery of enhancement, maintenance of the current software and customer integration to the service.Your role and responsibilities:You will be part of a global team, delivering critical solutions and services to world-leading Market Infrastructure Operators and New Markets. You will be responsible for key application development and deployment activities and working with internal teams to support customer design and deliverables.Furthermore, you will: Design, develop, troubleshoot and implement Java backend applications. Take high-level architecture and design models from architects and implement them through detailed design and code. Design, configure and support application operations. Deploy application and configuration changes via CICD pipeline. 3rd level of support for the service.We expect you to have : Minimum 8+ years of software development experience in writing server side application code using JAVA and application operations . Expertise in scripting languages such as Perl, Python and Bash. Experience with data integration and in particular financial data feeds in format such as FIX and JSON. Must have worked in deploying application using CICD pipeline. Should have worked on cloud deployments. AWS is a plus. Understanding of SAAS platforms. Understanding of networks and information security. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. Education Qualification: Bachelor/Master in computer science.It would be great if you : Knowledge of Java backend development. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Python and Bash. Knowledge of AWS and Terraform is a plus. Experience with Linux OS.
