Software Developer in Test (SDET) Manager

We are seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to a software quality assurance team specializing in test automation and responsible for one or more projects.
- Provide hands-on leadership to drive innovation.
- Hold regular 1:1s, quarterly reviews, and annual performance reviews with team members, including compensation recommendations.
- Assess and advocate for career advancement opportunities for team members.
- Communicate and direct corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide test reports to management and work to reduce production defects.
- Establish workflows integrated into development cycles.
- Identify risks and work with product owners to prevent critical issues before release.
- Contribute to design and coding of projects and tooling.
- Communicate product and company vision to the team.
- Collaborate with Product and Support teams for prioritization, scope, triaging, and onboarding.
- Participate in hiring and interviewing for new team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years managing a quality assurance team.
- Extensive knowledge of QA processes, standards enforcement, and best practices.
- Experience with end-to-end testing of integrated systems and SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in various testing types: Black box, GUI, Integration, Regression, Backend, System, UAT.
- Leadership in cross-functional coordination and task completion.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
- 7+ years writing automation code in OOP languages (C#, Java, Python, etc.).
- Mastery of source control and CI/CD pipelines.
Education
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in computer science, information systems, or related fields; equivalent experience or certifications.
