Job summary

Manpower Singapore is seeking a software engineer to design and implement new features for automation machine applications. You will collaborate with product specialists, hardware and process engineers, and contribute to requirement analysis and documentation.

You will debug machine software, use version control, and adapt to a lab environment with Qt and C++ in Linux. Travel may be required, and you will apply systematic, agile-inspired practices to deliver robust software.

• 3+ years of software design and implementation in C++ on Linux
• Experience in multi-tasking application development
• Familiarity with software processes, quality, testing methodologies
• Knowledge of semiconductor backend industry and related mechanical/electronic systems

Education:

Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Automation, Mechatronics, or Computer Science

Work Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of broad experience in software design and implementation using C++ in a Linux environment


• Experience in multi-tasking application development


• Knowledge of software processes, quality, version control, and testing methodologies


• Familiarity with the semiconductor backend industry


• Understanding of mechanical systems, electronics, or semiconductor packaging processes

Expertise and Methodology:

• Object-oriented programming knowledge


• Experience with the QT framework


• Hands-on experience with machines and measurement technologies in a lab setting


• Conceptual and analytical thinking with a systematic approach


• Experience with Agile software development is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Teamwork and flexibility for travel
