Job summary

MCI IT SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for fintech and enterprise applications. The role focuses on high-performance solutions using Java, Spring Cloud, microservices, and cloud technologies.

You will design and implement backend services, APIs and CI/CD pipelines, while ensuring high availability, security and reliability in an Agile development environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong hands-on Java and Spring/Spring Cloud experience.
• Experience with microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Cloud and related technologies.
• Develop scalable microservices and distributed systems for high-availability and high-concurrency environments.
• Design and develop APIs and backend services for financial and enterprise applications.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Develop and maintain solutions using cloud platforms such as AWS and Alibaba Cloud.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using Jenkins and Git.
• Perform application testing, debugging, code reviews and performance optimisation.
• Implement caching, messaging and distributed processing solutions to enhance application performance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to understand requirements and deliver software solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation, application interfaces and development standards.
• Troubleshoot production and application issues and implement appropriate technical solutions.
• Continuously improve software quality, scalability, security and reliability.

• At least 5 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience in Java and Spring/Spring Cloud.
• Experience developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Alibaba Cloud.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins, Git and automated deployment.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in fintech, payment, trading or other high-volume transaction systems will be an advantage.
