Job summary

PERSOL Singapore is seeking an experienced DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable big data platforms. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure high performance and reliable data processing workflows.

You will lead deployment of big data technologies, mentor teams in best practices, and implement governance and security policies while staying current with DevOps trends.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, or SRE roles.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes on at least two cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP/others).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, or equivalent.
• Proficient in scripting and automation (Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar.
• Experience managing databases and production environments is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement end-to-end data processing workflows, from data collection to analysis and visualization.
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to optimize data models and algorithms for efficient and accurate data analysis and mining.
• Lead the implementation and deployment of big data technologies, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams on big data best practices, tools, and technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance and security policies and ensure compliance.
• Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of big data platforms to optimize performance and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in big data technologies and DevOps practices, and provide recommendations for adoption as appropriate.
• Successfully deliver projects, including bigdata platform implementations, data warehouse architectures, data analysis and mining, and user profiling and tagging systems.

Requirements
