Job summary

APBA TG HUMAN RESOURCE PTE. LTD. seeks an accomplished Solution/System Architect to lead end-to-end software and system architecture across applications, middleware, data, networking, and security layers.

You will assess existing architectures, drive improvements, and guide teams through design reviews while ensuring high availability and secure, scalable solutions. Collaboration with customers and vendors is essential for successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of hands-on software/system development experience, with at least 3 years in a Solution/System Architect role.
• Proven lead architect for at least two end-to-end systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software and system architecture for applications, middleware, data, networking, and security layers.
• Assess architecture, identify performance, scalability, resilience, and security gaps, drive improvements through implementation.
• Lead integration of subsystems, sensors, and third-party products with hands-on troubleshooting during FAT/SAT/SSAT/OSAT.
• Act as technical escalation point; define requirements for high availability, redundancy, resilience, and failover.
• Guide development teams through architecture, design, and code reviews; establish CI/CD standards.
• Design security-by-design solutions; support system hardening, VA/PT remediation, security assessments, and accreditation.
• Support pre-sales activities with solution design, technical proposals, and presentations; estimate effort.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of technical solutions.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end software and system architecture for systems, covering applications, middleware, data, networking, and security layers.
• Assess existing architecture, identify gaps in performance, scalability, resilience, and security, and drive improvements through implementation.
• Lead the integration of sub-systems, sensors, and third-party products, including hands-on troubleshooting and debugging during FAT/SAT and SSAT/OSAT.
• Act as the technical escalation point and define requirements for high availability, redundancy, resilience, and failover.
• Guide development teams through architecture, design, and code reviews, and establish engineering and CI/CD standards.
• Design security-by-design solutions aligned with applicable CII requirements, and support system hardening, VA/PT remediation, security assessments, and accreditation activities.
• Support pre-sales activities, including solution design, technical proposals, technical presentations, and effort estimation.
• Work closely with customers, internal stakeholders, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of technical solutions.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant hands-on experience in software and/or system development, with at least 3 years of experience in a Solution/System Architect role.
• Proven experience as a Lead Architect for at least two systems delivered end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience in software development, coding, and debugging, using technologies such as Java, C#/.NET, C++, Python, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, system integration, virtualization, containers, and application architecture.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to management, customers, vendors, and technical teams.

Good-to-Have :

• Experience with sensor technologies, such as Radar and EO/IR.
• Experience with GIS.
• Professional certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, or equivalent relevant certifications.
