Job summary

DCI CONSULTANTS PRIVATE LIMITED seeks an experienced software/system architect to manage end-to-end architecture for complex C3/C2 systems, spanning applications, middleware, data, networking and security.

You will assess and upgrade existing architectures, lead integration efforts with sensors and third-party products, and set high-availability/failover standards while guiding developers through design reviews and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on software/system development with 3+ years as architect.
• Led architect on at least 2 end-to-end systems, preferably government/defence/CII.
• Hands-on coding across OS, network and application layers (Java, C#, C++, Python).
• Strong system integration (APIs, message brokers), Linux/Windows, virtualization.
• Knowledge of security, privacy and compliance in government domain.
• TOGAF, CISSP or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess the existing architecture, identify gaps (performance, scalability, resilience, security) and drive improvements through to implementation.
• Lead integration of C2 sub-systems, sensors and third-party products; debug hands-on during FAT/SAT and SSAT/OSAT.
• Act as final technical escalation point; define high availability, redundancy and failover requirements.
• Guide developers through design and code reviews; set engineering and CI/CD standards.
• Design security-by-design solutions aligned with CII requirements; support hardening, VA/PT remediation and accreditation.
• Support pre-sales with solution design, technical proposals and effort estimation.

Qualities We Value

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years hands-on software / system development, with 3+ years as an architect.
• Proven track record as lead architect on at least 2 systems delivered end-to-end, preferably government, defence or CII.
• Still codes and debugs hands-on (e.g. Java, C#/.NET, C++ or Python) across OS, network and application layers.
• Strong in system integration (APIs, message brokers), Linux/Windows, virtualisation/containers and networking.
• Good knowledge of security, privacy and compliance in the government domain.
• Able to explain technical issues clearly to management, customers and vendors.
• Good to have: C2 / command centre, sensor (radar, EO/IR) or GIS experience; TOGAF, CISSP or similar.
