Job summary

Key Responsibility Areas

Casework & Counselling

• Utilise relevant casework theories into practice
• Engage, assess, provide intervention and evaluate practice
• Assess client’s risks, needs, level of functioning and systemic intervention needed
• Understand youth at risk of juvenile delinquency and manage associated risk and protective factors
• Demonstrate reflective practice
• Conduct outreach and engage client’s family, where applicable, to develop action plans to support the client
• Engage other relevant agencies to support the client holistically and sustainably
• Ensure proper documentation and report-writing

Group Work

• Prepare and plan groupwork sessions/intervention
• Implement groupwork intervention effectively
• Evaluate groupwork intervention processes and outcomes, group dynamics and needs
• Respond to the needs of the groups and individuals in groupwork practice
• Able to facilitate group discussions and project work confidently with challenging clients

Programme Development and Implementation

• To systematically understand and design sound social work intervention programmes with clear programme logic model/ theory of change
• Deliver programme and conduct outcome-based monitoring to ensure the successful accomplishment of its quantitative and qualitative objectives
