Social Worker / Counsellor

Job Scope

1. Carry out the Code of Social Work Practice (CSWP) related operations according to the CSWP manual & practice guide
2. Facilitate casework, groupwork & community work
3. Plan, implement & evaluate activities/programmes based on assessed needs for the individual, family & community
4. Some practice knowledge working with clients experiencing family violence

Requirements

Technical Competencies:

1. Knowledge of social policies, social work interventions & community engagement
2. Strong analytical, writing, communication, interpersonal and time management skills

Core Competencies:

1. Meticulous and organised
2. Preferably with interest & passion for working with the elderly
3. Preferably proficient in various dialects to interact with the elderly
4. Must be proficient in MS Office software

Preferred Achievements / Characteristics:

1. Degree or Graduate Diploma in Social Work / Counselling
2. Some practice knowledge working with clients experiencing family violence
3. Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary teams
