Job description

Social Worker will be working with youths and their families in the community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Outreach: Initiate and participate in outreach efforts related to the Division, develop outreach plans to promote Division Programmes, and establish good relationships with stakeholders and community partners.
  2. Referrals: Manage referrals and engage referral agencies or individuals for intake and assessment.
  3. Case Management: Conduct thorough case assessments, including intake and ongoing engagement with clients, families, and stakeholders to develop case conceptualisations.
  4. Intervention and Support: Collaborate with clients to develop intervention plans, provide counselling, and support to address risks and needs; advocate for clients' rights and access to community services.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all case-related activities.
  6. Research and Evaluation: Stay informed about current research and trends; participate in and support research projects.
  7. Professional Development: Prepare for and attend case reviews, conceptualisation meetings, and clinical supervision; supervise interns or students on placement.
  8. Project Development: Develop and implement new projects or initiatives aligned with the Division's objectives.
Technical Competencies:
  1. Knowledge of specialized theories and techniques for holistic case assessment using relevant organizational tools.
  2. Ability to conceptualize and formulate relevant, realistic, and achievable case plans.
  3. Ability to engage stakeholders to develop community solutions.
Core Competencies:
  1. Passion for positively impacting the lives of youths.
  2. Strong engagement, coordination, communication, and administrative skills.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office programs.
Preferred Qualifications and Characteristics:
  1. Degree in Social Work or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in social services or similar settings.
  2. Knowledge and experience with social work interventions; interest in developing clinical skills.
  3. Passion for working with youths.
