Job description

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and competent Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be involved in casework management and working collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders to deliver trauma-informed practices to enhance the safety and well-being of our vulnerable children and young persons who have experienced trauma, abuse and/or neglect.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Degree in Social Work (Candidates with a Diploma in Social Work will be considered for the Social Work Associate role).
  • Casework Management: Able to provide end-to-end case management support and appropriate level of care through assessment, care planning and interventions, including evaluation of care.
  • Able to independently and consistently keep to report writing deadlines (i.e., case notes, social reports, MSF reports, reports annexed for court submissions, etc.).
  • Able to work collaboratively with clients (i.e., children and young persons placed in a Children’s Home and their families/caregivers), colleagues and key stakeholders in casework management.
  • Willing to conduct home visits and attend promptly to crisis situations.
  • Trauma-informed individual/group therapeutic work: Able to develop, conduct and facilitate individual/group trauma-informed therapeutic sessions for children and young persons and their families/caregivers.
  • Willing to engage in research and evaluation activities to generate new/applied knowledge for trauma-informed social work practice.
  • Able to complete any other duties given by the Reporting Officer.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW). Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for this role.
  • 4 days’ work week, including 1 weekend each week.
