The social worker in our special schools brings to the educational process an understanding of the psychosocial concerns of families and the influences of family, community and cultural differences as they interact with the educational process.

The social worker will conduct assessments of client needs, provide counselling, support and crisis intervention and participate in programme and policy development.

The social worker works closely with families, social and community agencies and volunteers to strengthen the circles of care around our clients with disabilities.
