Job Purpose

Our team of passionate social workers supports children and youth with disabilities and their families in leading meaningful lives—where they are safe, connected, healthy, and heard.

We’re looking for Social Workers (entry to senior levels) to join our Special Education Schools and be part of a transdisciplinary team that builds strong support networks around our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring deep understanding of the psychosocial needs of children and their families, and the impact of family, community, cultural dynamics on their learning journey.

  • Conduct holistic assessments and partner families to uncover strengths, needs, aspirations.

  • Provide psychosocial support, casework, counselling and crisis intervention.

  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and community partners to strengthen the circle of care around every child.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to contribute to inclusive practices, programme planning and policies

Job Holder Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work from a recognised university.

  • SASW-registered or eligible for registration

  • Experience in disability, education, or youth settings is an advantage.

  • Most importantly – a heart for inclusion and a passion for empowering diverse individuals.

  • Candidates with more experience can be considered for a more senior position.
