Job Description
The co-facilitator will be responsible for supporting school-based and community-based group work focused on promoting children’s mental health and well-being.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the preparation and planning of group interventions, including needs assessments, environmental scans, program logic, and evaluation of outcomes.
- Compiling our services for schools and community partners, engaging stakeholders to understand their needs, and ensuring service relevancy.
- Engaging stakeholders as partners to create a child-centric environment supporting well-being.
- Co-managing cases identified with risks or needs.
- Assisting in community needs assessment.
- Providing administrative support, such as drafting agreements, collating consent forms, and liaising with schools and partners.
- Conducting outreach to promote children’s well-being among children and adults.
- Supporting coordination and pooling of community resources and services.
- Supporting risk and needs assessments to ensure clients receive appropriate services.
Requirements
- Diploma in Social Work.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children aged 6-13 and collaborating with partners in group settings.
- Strong facilitation skills for group work.
- Excellent micro skills and understanding of risk management.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of social services and school resources.
- Ability to conduct basic research and evaluations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in creative engagement for social service programs in virtual and face-to-face formats.
