Position: Social Work Assistant/ Coordinator

Department: Medical Social Work

Job Description:

Our Social Work Assistants will be responsible for providing support service to the Medical Social Workers (MSWs) in the Medical Social Work Department.

Job Responsibilities:

Your job responsibilities include:

  • Providing frontline service to man the outpatient clinics counters

  • Attending to clinic patients' and their families' enquiries

  • Administering welfare schemes

  • Conducting financial assessment interviews

  • Supporting MSWs to provide casework follow-up

  • Making home visits, accompanying and escorting patients on errands

  • Arranging for employment opportunities for patients

  • Providing administrative support for keeping and compilation of statistics

  • Handling reception and other office clerical duties.

Requirements:

Competency

  1. Experience in a related field is preferred

  2. Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
