About the Role
We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist (Xiaohongshu, WeChat) to join our consultancy on a contract or freelance basis. This role is perfect for a digital marketer who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and experienced in managing Xiaohongshu and/or other Chinese social media platforms.
You’ll play a key role in shaping Chinese digital marketing strategies for Singapore-based lifestyle, retail and F&B brands, working closely with a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Platform Strategy & Content Execution
- Develop and localise engaging content strategies tailored for Xiaohongshu (RED).
- Plan the creative briefing, and execute the setup of ad campaigns, including testing, targeting, and budget optimisation.
- Participate in client pitch meetings to present ideas, strategies, and platform insights when required.
- Analytics & Optimisation
- Track and report on key metrics such as engagement rates, follower growth, and content performance.
- Analyse keyword rankings, audience behaviour, and ROI from campaigns.
- Monitor competitors and current trends to refine content strategies.
- Generate monthly reports tracking follower growth, engagement rates, and content performance across platforms.
- Influencer & Community Engagement
- Leverage and expand existing networks of KOCs/KOLs in the lifestyle or hospitality sectors.
- Manage influencer marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with affiliate agency partners for campaign execution and account servicing.
- Manage community interactions — respond to DMs, reviews, and comments in a timely and authentic manner.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing or social media management.
- Proven working knowledge and expertise in Xiaohongshu marketing, content creation, and localisation.
- Proficiency with backend tools (e.g., analytics and dashboards).
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Basic video editing and graphic design skills.
- Strong working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, written and spoken, with experience using it in a professional context.
- Well-organised, resourceful, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
