Job summary

ITCAN PTE. LIMITED is seeking a Systems Specialist to provide comprehensive cybersecurity support, threat intelligence, and proactive threat hunting. You will work with incident response, SOC, and threat intelligence teams to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

The role requires staying current with vulnerabilities and trends, developing detection signatures, and producing actionable reports for management and stakeholders. Flexibility for after-hours work may be needed.

Qualifications

• Fundamental knowledge of HTTP status codes and WAF violations.
• Understanding of network security best practices.
• Understanding of cyber threats and hacking methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Stay updated with vulnerabilities, security trends, and hacking techniques.
• Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities; provide enhancement recommendations.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify potential incidents and suspicious activity.
• Document findings, analysis, and investigations clearly; generate management reports.
• Develop and tune security monitoring rules, correlation logic, and detection signatures.
• Utilize SIEM, network traffic analysis, EDR, vulnerability management, and threat intel platforms.
• Collaborate with incident response, security operations, and threat intelligence teams.
• Develop a cyber intelligence framework to improve client security posture and decision-making.
• Integrate intelligence framework with client's SOC and incident response teams.
• Continuously collect threat information from threat intel feeds, vendors, dark web, social media, etc.
• Analyze threat data to identify patterns, trends, and risks.
• Prioritize and triage threats by relevance and potential impact.
• Analyze threat actors' motivations and tactics; provide risk insights.
• Produce regular and ad-hoc reports, briefs, and alerts for stakeholders.
• Provide intelligence support during security incidents; guide containment and recovery strategies.
• Support vulnerability management by identifying exploit trends and prioritizing patches.
• Collaborate with threat hunters to refine hunting strategies.
