Job summary

OCBC Bank is seeking a Cyber Engineering - Risk professional in Singapore to monitor, analyze and respond to real-time cyber threats within a 24x7 SOC located in the East. You will work with engineering teams to identify risks and strengthen cybersecurity posture.

The role requires a degree/diploma in cyber security or related field, knowledge of SIEM/IDS, incident response, and threat intelligence. A proactive, collaborative mindset and willingness to thrive in a bank-scale security program are

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in cyber security or related field.
• Knowledge of common network tools such as ping, traceroute, nslookup.
• Familiarity with cyber defence policies, procedures and regulations.
• Understanding of LAN/WAN/MAN/WLAN networks.
• Experience with SIEM and IDS tools.
• Knowledge of various attack types and threat classes.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and capabilities.
• Incident response knowledge and handling methodologies.
• Understanding of attack lifecycle stages and post-incident review.
• Familiarity with cyber defence reporting structures within an organization.
• Awareness of system and application security threats (e.g., code, network, and runtime risks).
• PL/SQL language skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze/investigate and escalate real-time security events.
• Provide timely detection, identification and containment of attacks.
• Determine effectiveness and impact of observed attacks.
• Log security events and manage till closure; ensure SLAs.
• Support reporting and documentation of cyber security events.
