Job summary

Ensign Infosecurity is seeking a diligent Incident Response Analyst to act as a first responder for a 24/7 SOC. You will monitor security events, manage vulnerabilities, hunt threats, and review logs to detect intrusions across a large set of devices.

You will liaise with clients and escalation teams to mitigate incidents and improve containment. Role requires a Diploma/degree in information security or related field, about one year in networking, and solid understanding of MPLS, OSI concepts,

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information System or Information Security from a recognized institution.
• At least 1 year of working experience in a networking environment.
• Solid understanding of network routing and switching fundamentals, including MPLS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with good writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as incident first responder for a 24/7 staffed SOC.
• Perform security monitoring, vulnerability management, data loss/policy violation prevention and threat hunting.
• Review logs and monitor sensors to identify network anomalies or intrusions.
• Escalate incidents using established policies and procedures and coordinate with customers.
• Develop incident response workflows, playbooks and SOPs.
• Collaborate with threat intelligence analysts to convert intelligence into useful detections.
• Monitor MDR platforms and perform response actions per client workflows.
