Job summary

Realtek Singapore Private Limited invites a seasoned SOC validation engineer to own validation tasks on emulation and post-silicon platforms, ensuring design quality and strict conformance to standards and specifications.

You will develop functional validation plans and test programs for complex high-performance SOCs, understand hardware/software operations, and contribute to architectural discussions with innovative solutions for automotive connectivity and display solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or computer science.
• 8+ years of experience validating complex silicon with emulation and post-silicon bring-up.
• Strong ownership and accountability in a small, agile team.
• Deep understanding of SOC architecture, embedded systems, and hardware/software partition.
• Experience with display technologies (MIPI DSI, DisplayPort, HDMI) is a major plus.
• Networking background (Ethernet) or related protocols is a major plus.
• Experience with embedded processors (ARM Cortex-A/M/R or RISC-V) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Ethernet/PCIe/USB/SPI/I2C interfaces is a plus.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python; scripting skills are beneficial.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills across HW/SW boundaries.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Own SOC validation tasks on both emulation and post-silicon platforms, ensuring design quality and conformance with the standards and specifications

• Responsible for the development of the functional validation plan and test programs for complex high-performance SOC

• Understand the standards and specifications, hardware and software operations and end to end features of the automotive connectivity and display solutions

• Participate in the architectural discussions and provide innovative solutions during the development of the SOC

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or computer science

• 8+ years of experience in validating complex silicon, using emulation platforms, chip functional bring up, familiarity with lab equipment is required

• Proven ability to thrive in a small, agile engineering team, taking initiative and handling evolving technical challenges, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

• Deep understanding of SOC architecture, embedded systems, digital IC design, hardware/software partition

• Prior working experience of display technologies such as MIPI DSI, Display port or HDMI would be a major plus

• Background in computer networking, ethernet, packet processing or understanding of networking protocols will be major plus

• Knowledge of embedded processor and firmware operation, processor sub-system, such as ARM cortex-A/M/R or RISC-V would be a plus

• Familiarity with industry standard hardware interfaces, such as Ethernet/PCIe/USB/SPI/I2C would be a plus

• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or other relevant hardware programming and scripting languages

• Strong analytical and debugging skills across hardware/software boundaries.
