Job summary

OPUS IT Services Pte Ltd is seeking a Security Operations Center professional in Singapore to monitor security events across Trend Micro and Microsoft Sentinel. You will triage alerts, investigate using log analysis and threat intel, and escalate incidents with clear evidence.

You will also handle DLP triage, vulnerability management, and patch compliance, coordinating with data owners and compliance teams to prevent data leakage and reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent).
• 2–4 years in a SOC, security operations, or IT security role.
• Hands-on experience with a SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel preferred) and endpoint/XDR tools (Trend Micro preferred).
• Experience with vulnerability scanners (Tenable preferred) and patch management processes.
• Understanding of DLP concepts and tools, MITRE ATT&CK knowledge.
• Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-200, or Trend Micro certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alerts and dashboards across Trend Micro, Microsoft Sentinel, and other security tools.
• Triage alerts, distinguish true/false positives, prioritise by severity and impact.
• Investigate suspicious activity using log analysis, KQL queries, and threat intelligence.
• Escalate confirmed incidents with clear evidence to L2/L3 or incident response.
• Contain incidents per playbooks (e.g., isolate endpoints, block indicators).
• Tune detection rules and alert thresholds to reduce noise.
• Monitor and triage DLP alerts for unauthorised data transfer and leakage.
• Coordinate with data owners and compliance on confirmed data leakage incidents.
• Run and review vulnerability scans; prioritise findings by CVSS and asset criticality.
• Produce vulnerability and patch compliance reports for management and audits.
• Document incidents and investigations in ticketing systems; maintain playbooks and SOPs.
