Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to monitor, analyse, triage and resolve cybersecurity events from the managed SOC. You will strengthen threat detection, improve use cases and security monitoring processes, and collaborate with the Security Operations Manager to contain and recover from incidents.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of hands-on information-security experience in a SOC analyst, incident-response analyst, incident-handler or comparable role.
• Experience in a financial-institution SOC environment and incident management preferred.
• Hands-on cybersecurity experience with enterprise SIEM platforms and understanding of kill chain, TTPs, threat intelligence and malware triage.
• Ability to analyse large datasets and packet-level data, operate network and endpoint security technologies such as NIDS/NIPS, firewalls, HIPS, proxies and vulnerability scanners.
• Strong understanding of common attacks targeting systems, networks, and applications.
• Knowledge of internet infrastructure and network security (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, WAF, VPN, TCP/IP).
• Certs such as CSA, CISSP, CEH, GCIA, GCIH or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach.
• Willingness to learn and work well in a team.
• Ability to stay composed and prioritized under pressure during investigations.
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor, analyse, triage and close security events and requests from the managed SOC and security systems.
• Support the Incident Manager in investigating, containing, remediating and recovering from security incidents.
• Enhance SOC detection and response playbooks and maintain escalation and evidence documentation processes.
• Use data-visualisation tools to derive insights from large datasets and correlate information across SIEM and data sources.
• Apply AI-driven capabilities to support real-time security investigations and escalation when required.
• Perform digital-forensics analysis following evidence-handling practices.
• Develop security-monitoring reports, metrics and dashboards for asset owners and management.
• Stay current with emerging cyber threats and translate intelligence into improvements.
• Participate in cybersecurity exercises and business continuity drills.
• Coordinate renewal and maintenance of cybersecurity tools and licences.
