The Patient Advocacy and Support Office (PASO) at the National University Health System (NUHS) is an integral part of our commitment to delivering incredible care and health together with patients, caregivers, and the community.

Working cross-functionally, we champion and foster a culture of person- and family-centred care and service excellence across the NUHS cluster. We drive engagements and collaborations with patient advocates and the community in clinical and academic domains to achieve better health outcomes.

Job Descriptions

Champion Person- and Family-Centred Care

  1. Support the promotion of care partnership with internal and external stakeholders through training programmes and campaigns.
  2. Support co-creation and implementation of initiatives to enhance inclusion of patient and caregivers in care design, delivery, and evaluation.

Project Management

  1. Able to contribute to overseeing projects from inception to completion.
  2. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Partnership and Community Development

  1. Engage with diverse stakeholders including but not limited to patients, caregivers, community organisations and government agencies.
  2. Support the team’s strategic alliances and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Contribute to NUHS’s volunteer management programme including recruitment, onboarding, engagement, recognition, and appreciation of staff and community volunteers.

Data Management

  1. Coordinate with key stakeholders to collate and analyse project and patient experience data.
  2. Coordinate recommendations and interventions based on data analysis.
  3. Provide analytics and visualization for strategic decision-making.
  4. Support initiatives to address gaps and areas for improvement.

Administrative Management

  1. Ensure efficient administrative processes, including documentation, compliance, and reporting.
  2. Organise meetings, manage schedules, prepare related agendas and materials.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Social Sciences, Public Health, or related disciplines.
  2. Minimum three years of relevant experience with demonstrated experience in programme management, project development, implementation, and evaluation, and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and empathetic approach to handling complex situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, and diverse stakeholders.
  5. High level of organisational skills and attention to detail to drive and deliver multiple tasks and projects, focusing on achieving positive outcomes.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
  7. Proficiency in MS Office. Some basic visual and video editing skills would be an advantage.
