Job description

As a PCVD Metals Senior Process Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PCVD) processes for advanced semiconductor manufacturing. You will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to process stability, yield improvement, and technology development to support next-generation memory products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, optimize, and sustain PCVD metals deposition processes to ensure high yield and manufacturability.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including equipment, integration, and R&D, to drive process improvements and resolve technical issues.
  3. Analyze process data, inline metrology, and defect trends to identify opportunities for enhancement and ensure process stability.
  4. Conduct structured problem-solving to resolve yield and performance issues, using methodologies such as DOE, SPC, and FMEA.
  5. Support process transfer and qualification for new tools and technologies in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  6. Work closely with equipment vendors to evaluate and implement new hardware and process capabilities.
  7. Document experimental findings, develop best-known methods (BKMs), and present technical insights to internal stakeholders.
  8. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, process efficiency, and sustainability.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Strong foundation in thin-film deposition, plasma processes, or semiconductor manufacturing.
  3. Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Python, MATLAB) and statistical process control (SPC).
  4. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Develops new or modified process formulations, defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes.
