Singapore Judicial College (2-Year Contract)
What you will be working on:
This role straddles the Singapore Judicial College’s (“SJC”) education arm (the Institute of Judicial Excellence, Judicial Competence (“IJE JC”)) and research arm (the Institute of Judicial Studies (“IJS”)). The IJE JC has the primary responsibility of developing and delivering tailored and robust training programmes to support Judicial Service Officers in developing competencies outlined in the Judicial Competency Framework (“JCF”). The IJS undertakes, leads, and facilitates rigorous research on issues relevant to the Judiciary, including judicial education and training. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Dean, SJC, Senior Directors of IJE JC and IJS to implement strategic priorities. Responsibilities include:
- Conduct high-quality research on judicial education and the justice system
- Publish research in domestic and international platforms, peer-reviewed journals, books, and online platforms
- Supervise judicial research modules for university students
- Support the development of research-led judicial training programmes
- Organize and host research events
- Assist in delivering evidence-based judicial training
- Conduct training needs analyses and develop curricula
- Develop learning resources for judges and judicial officers
- Prepare reports, submissions, and presentations
