Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton requires an IT Specialist to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This position is located in Singapore.

The purpose of the SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps), systems, and network infrastructure; provide end-user and device support; manage configurations, changes, licenses, and assets; conduct training; and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. These responsibilities are vital to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and end-users worldwide 24/7/365.

The IT Specialist performs tier one and two network support per the SIE OPORD. Responsibilities include administering network and communication systems, troubleshooting, analysis, diagnostics, and ensuring system functionality. The role requires knowledge of government hardware, software, and network components, along with skills in creating monitoring reports, managing equipment logs, and coordinating network performance. The IT Specialist will develop technical implementation plans, research standards, ensure network compliance, and support full lifecycle management of LAN/WAN infrastructures.

Key duties include:

  • Installation, tuning, testing, operation, monitoring, upgrading, patching, and management of WAN and LAN hardware and software.
  • Designing, configuring, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN capabilities, circuits, and encryption devices.
  • Managing LAN PORs and WAN infrastructures, including external circuits and encryption devices.
  • Supporting VLAN architectures, wireless LANs, and VPN services, ensuring compliance with DoD and USSOCOM policies.
  • Troubleshooting networks, configuring routers and switches, collaborating with circuit providers, and participating in exercises.
