Job Responsibilities

  • Plan production tasks for and schedules according to demand forecast and customer orders
  • Develop and review production plan with managers for approval
  • Plan equipment, raw material and manpower requirements to cover production demand
  • Analyze back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations
  • Monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues to minimize supply disruption
  • Manage tolling activities with 3rd party contractor with possibility of fleet management
  • Escalate complex issues to management for resolution
  • Anticipate and resolve day-to-day issues, complete root cause failure analyses, and take corrective actions
  • Communicate production status to Mangers and Customers on regular basis
  • Plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses, manage KPIs
  • Collaborate closely with raw material planner, production team and logistics scheduler for smooth day to day operations
  • Responsible for execution of the overall supply chain strategy to ensure the bio-factory optimized with the right production capacity whilst supplying volumes to the customers without any supply interruption
  • Support and manage metrics and associated KPIs for performance of supply chain

The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a production planning with additional knowledge to demand planning by translating monthly forecasts to optimum production plans. He/ she ideally is an outstanding communicator, an efficient multi-tasker, meticulous in figures, and with strong analytical skills.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain management or relevant field
  • 3+ years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing company preferably in production planning
  • Strong systems skills, including proficiency with SAP R3, and familiarity with TMS tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of end-to-end logistics operations (including ocean, over-the-road transportation, rail, customs and warehousing)
  • Additional APICS certification is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
