Overview

Site Supervisor

Location details and work arrangements are as follows. Working Days: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm. Saturday may require a half day depending on the project (OT may be claimed). Office at City Hall. Working site: Jurong West (nearest MRT Lakeside).

Salary range: $2800 to $4000. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Singapore.

Job scope
  • Attend to all daily sub-contractors meetings to discuss daily structure and architectural issues to meet the project target schedule.
  • Check site progress and safety compliance of subcontractors and report findings to the immediate superior and safety officer.
  • Verify subcontractors’ works are done in accordance with the approved drawings/details and take remedial actions for non-conformance.
  • Conduct daily activity inspections with the project RE or RTO and take actions to clear their comments to ensure works are approved for commencement.
  • Keep proper records of inspection forms for future reference and submit as evidence for potential legal issues arising from unforeseen defects.
  • Interact professionally with general workers, sub-contractors, and peers; seek guidance from senior site staff when in doubt and understand contractors’ contractual obligations.
  • Strive for fast and efficient approvals for assignments and apply BCA good practices on site.
  • Participate in Environmental Health & Safety programs set by the PM and WSHO to contribute to a safe and clean site.
  • Aim to upgrade skills through construction courses by BCA or equivalent institutions and study cost-saving methods feasible for site use.
  • Be flexible to take on additional work as part of the project team’s activities to support cost saving.
  • Provide guidance to new site supervisors joining the company to ensure seamless integration without affecting site progress.
