Job summary

HUP HUAT BUILDING CONSTRUCTION (PTE) LTD. seeks a capable on-site operations professional to monitor daily progress and oversee construction activities. You will lead site teams, interpret drawings, and ensure compliance with local codes while enforcing safety practices and PTW procedures.

You will liaise with project managers, consultants, and authorities to address on-site discrepancies or material shortages, ensuring smooth progress and adherence to schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities and monitor progress against schedules.
• Assign daily tasks and manage attendance or timecards for on-site teams.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings and method statements to ensure compliance with local codes.
• Enforce safety regulations, conduct toolbox talks, and manage PTW (Permit-to-Work) processes.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and authorities to resolve on-site issues such as technical discrepancies or material shortages.

Job description

Site Operations & Progress Monitoring: Oversee daily construction activities, track work schedules, and manage daily progress reports.

Team & Subcontractor Management: Assign daily tasks, manage attendance or timecards, and coordinate different trade teams.

Quality & Technical Compliance: Interpret blueprints, drawings, and method statements, and ensure work complies with Building and Construction Authority (BCA) standards and local codes.

Safety & Regulatory Enforcement: Implement Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines, conduct toolbox meetings, and enforce the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system.

Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with project managers, consultants, and authorities to resolve on-site technical discrepancies or material shortages
